Cancer – Alternative Therapies : Role of Exercise and Yoga

Exercise; It is a very important part of the anti-cancer strategy. Even moderate amount of exercise induces chemical reactions in the body that are conducive to growth of healthy cells and reduce cancer risks. Studies have revealed that a 30 minute simple walk reduces chances of breast cancer in women by 50%. Similarly in men it reduces the chances of prostate cancer. Physical activity has been found to reduce inflammation and obstruct spread of malignant cells to the healthy parts of the body. Even a 10 minute brisk walk changes the chemical composition of the body in a manner that enhances the natural self healing capacity of the body. Yoga even when done once or twice a week has been found helpful in reducing inflammation and improving immunity.

People who exercise regularly have different protein moving through their bloodstreams than people who do not, according to an interesting new study of the inner landscapes of sedentary and active people. According to this new study which was published in the Journal of Applied Physiology, researchers at the University of Colorado, have found that regular exercise activated 800 new proteins in the body which were found absent in the bodies of people with sedentary lifestyles. These 800 new proteins have been found to be involved in many health related processes like reduction of inflammation and immune system responses. The proteins in question affect many different aspects of our bodies from blood sugar levels to wound healing. A new area of research by the name of proteomics has emerged from the  studies on effects of exercise on activation of newer proteins in the body. So keep exerting yourself physically, whatever your age may be, and however, little it may be. It is always going to prevent and cure cancer.

Conclusion; There is always hope and Cancer is curable to a great extent. The need is to adopt a healthy life style and to believe in self healing capacities of our body and mind which alters our physical realities. Map of healing is hidden inside us only and we need to activate this inherent potential through proper environment at physical and mental level. An active lifestyle is thus an antidote to many kinds of sicknesses and can promote longevity and a disease free life.. Keep exercising and be active.
